Research Assistantship positions are currently available now for Master Degree students or Ph.D students supervised by Prof. Li, financial supports depending on candidates qualifications and performances. Interested candidates are welcomed to contact with Prof. Li by email:ymli@umac.mo.

No entrance exams and course works during Ph.D. study in University of Macau, however Ph.D. candidates should pass two exams to be qualified for further study. One exam is called qualifying exam which is required to give a seminar to present his/her research results in a focused topic, students should have papers published at this stage. Another exam is called thesis proposal exam which is required to present the selected Ph.D. thesis topic ahead of a committee, he/she should have more papers published to support his/her topic. The two exams should be finished within two years. Students should have great potential on doing research work independently and publishing papers extensively.

The financial support for Master student is MOP1,000-5,000 per month depending on performance.

The financial support for Ph.D student is MOP9500-MOP12,000(=USD1200-1500) per month, the tuition fee is waived in UM for excellent Ph.D. student with financial support. The living cost in Macau is lower than Hongkong and higher than Mainland of China, but student can go back to Zhuhai of China for shoping at weekends.

Postdoc Research Fellow positions are also open for applications, research areas should be similar to Prof. Li's research interests, potential candidates should have a very good publication record. The salary is MOP15,000-MOP22,000 permonth depending on the candidate's achievements(1US$=8MOP).
